Competitive Wisconsin initiative encourages businesses to locate in Wisconsin
(MADISON) Wisconsin Is Open For Business. That’s the message being shared with out-of-state entrepreneurs and businesses looking to expand or relocate. Wis4Biz, an initiative of Competitive Wisconsin, Inc. (CWI) and supported by the Wisconsin Technology Council among other organizations, is reaching out to executives and site selectors with the message that Wisconsin wants business!
Wis4Biz is launching an extensive outreach effort to promote Wisconsin’s improving business climate and exciting entrepreneurial economy. The informational outreach effort encompasses a variety of media, including billboard placement at the Wisconsin/Illinois border. The billboard carries a strong, straight-forward message: Yes, Wisconsin Is Open For Business (see attached). The outreach efforts by Wis4Biz inform executives of the benefits of doing business in Wisconsin which, in turn, motivates business development, stimulates job growth and ensures economic stability.
“Recent initiatives have greatly enhanced Wisconsin’s business climate. Business tax incentives and the creation of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation are fueling economic development in Wisconsin. Governor Walker and the Legislature have passed several game-changing initiatives in the first seven weeks in office. On the other hand, Illinois lawmakers have approved tax changes decidedly detrimental to business,” said Sue Marks, president and CEO of Pinstripe and president of Competitive Wisconsin. “Wis4Biz is getting the word out that Wisconsin supports job creation and business growth – that Wisconsin Is Open For Business.”
